Great point about Albany being a state capital, maybe that makes Times Union lean more toward an urban than suburban newspaper.

Times Union was our “local” paper! So I would say that Times Union covers both the urban area of Albany, but also the surrounding suburbs (Capital District has a population of a couple million, I think). Also, Albany being the capital of NY state, politics (state-level) probably plays a bigger role there than in the other sample newspapers.
